We realise the 'old skills' and back-street workshops are slowly fading away and you cannot easily get starters and other components rebuilt properly as the parts just aren't made anymore or rewinding costs are prohibitive, if you can even find someone to consider doing it!
There is always also the poignant question of why even bother to rebuild a distributor, fuel pump or regulator box with contact points that will just carbonate up and then fail again, when you can fit a new solid state 'heart' into it that will never miss a beat again?
One of the most popular enhancements we are making available is the new, reduction geared, high-torque starter motor. These are hand built from the latest in low-current, but high-geared-output motor units. For un-developed applications we supply templates to help you to correctly define the mounting flange PCD (hole centres), and due to the solenoid's 'piggy back' design, correct orientation of the unit, thus enabling you to ensure that what you receive from us is exactly what you need to fit your vehicle without obstruction or other complications. If you cannot find your vehicle please contact us directly as we are happy to help with the more awkward applications that others are not interested in.
If you're concerned about having a flashy piece of new, shiny, modern-looking hardware in your prized piece of motoring history, we are also able to offer some of our high-performance starters and alternators hidden away in original-look, classic casings. We won't tell, if you don't! We can also fit new electronic internals into your old distributor cases and will soon be adding new, plug-in, replacement halogen headlight bulbs for instant improvements.
We will also be following this precedent by continually seeking to update our available range of electrical components for classic cars, and hope in the future to pioneer electrical window kits, wiper motor kits and, hopefully, even an unobtrusive fuel injection system.
We will also be aiming to keep a range of classic electrical fittings and consumables, which include High torque Starter Motors, Alternators, Dynators, Distributors, Electric cooling fans, Heater motors, Heater Blower housings all of which we are quite easily able to source from our 43-year-established supplier base.
